Time for Munich in Tampa Bay is fast approaching. Our Club's largest party of the year is about to start, and everyone is invited to join the fun.
Entrance fee is only $ 10/person. The big tent is going up, banners are being hung, and the long tables are coming out, the food and drinks areas are being prepared. You can smell it in the air!
The German American Friendship Society 62st Annual Oktoberfest will be back under the Big Tent at the German American Society, on 66th St N in Pinellas Park, just south of 82nd Ave.
"We always strive to provide the most authentic Oktoberfest experience," said Jay Salamon, the President of the German American Society.
"Our food Is cooked the way we do it in Germany."
"We invite everyone to come out and enjoy German Gemutlichkeit, our leg slapping, joyous, fun known as Oktoberfest. And know that you're part of something special" Salamon said.
"Our goal is to bring a little bit of traditional Germany to Tampa Bay."
Non-Stop Music by the Manni Daum Trio's Original Bavarian Oktoberfest Music, and the Frank Svet Trio.
The Amazing thing about our Oktoberfest is, it's put together by club members, each one of them tirelessly dedicating their time and skills to the cause. All of them are volunteers. Approx. 50 % of the Club is German Born.
However, we welcome everyone interested in friendship, laughter, and fun to come. And the fun you will have! If you don't know how to dance like a German you will before the night is over. We promised you the most fun night you will have of the year.
